Law Enforcement & Government Data Request Policy

Effective: 1 January 2026 · Version 2026-01-01

This policy explains how Prebo Digital responds to requests from law enforcement and government authorities for data relating to users of the Adsynth platform (“Service”). We aim to protect our users’ privacy while complying with our legal obligations.

1. Our approach

We require valid legal process and disclose data only to the extent legally required. We interpret requests narrowly, object to or seek to narrow requests that are overbroad or improper, and disclose the minimum data necessary to respond.

2. What we require

  • Subscriber/account information: an appropriate, lawful request (such as a subpoena or its equivalent under applicable South African or other relevant law).
  • Stored content or detailed records: a court order or warrant, or equivalent valid legal process, supported by appropriate legal authority.
  • Requests must identify the specific account(s), the data sought, and the legal basis, and must come from an authorised official through official channels.

3. Emergency requests

In genuine emergencies involving a risk of death or serious physical harm, we may disclose limited information to the extent permitted by law when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to prevent the harm.

4. Notice to users

We will make reasonable efforts to notify affected users before disclosing their data so they may seek to protect their rights, unless prohibited by law or court order, or where we believe doing so would create a risk to safety or the integrity of an investigation.

5. Data minimisation and cost

We disclose only data within the scope of valid legal process and that we actually hold. We may seek reimbursement of reasonable costs for responding where the law permits.

6. How to submit a request

Authorities may send requests to info@prebodigital.co.za (subject line “Legal Request”), addressed to the Information Officer, Prebo Digital, at:

Prebo Digital Office Park Block A, Unit 17 Van Hoof Street Willowbrook, Ruimsig Johannesburg, 1709 South Africa

Receipt of a request does not waive any objection, and our response is governed by applicable law including POPIA.
